I wonder at how we all belong to this earth...
how we are made from the same materials as the birds in the sky, the leaves on the trees and the ground beneath our feet. How each breath inhaled once filled the lungs of our ancestors, how the ocean contains molecules of loved ones passed on that give us one last embrace as we submerge into the depths. How the earthworm moves beneath our feet while the fox sleeps and the old abandoned house decays, the tea cups still on the table awaiting a tea time guest.
My paintings are stories with each being, object and house a character in a greater story. Each painting is an exploration of our belonging and interconnectedness with each other and the world around us.
I am a painter, but before that I am a storyteller and my medium is paint.
